Happy Birthday Rahman sir....

"If you understand the essence of religion,it's about love.Though it's a cliche ,it's the truth and it's what I am trying to do with my music-A.R.Rahman

I still remember the day your music made me dance. My kindergarden days where the song that made me sleep was "Kadhal Rojave".Sir,this special post( or letter) consider this a dedication to you on your 49th birthday..

The role of music in one's life is not always realised by oneself. The research recently published enthrals saying that doctors perform better surgeries when they hear to good music. Also Psychologists suggest that a pregnant lady hearing Beethoven's symphony has a double chance of delivering a healthy baby.Well, these are facts to support what music does to one.But beyond these the emotional bondage that people establish with music is immeasurable.Your music for me is of that kind....Beyond words and beyond worlds".

Mukkala Mukkabula"....That was my first inspiration from you and mention not, this was the song that made me dance and rewarded me  the first prize.I was four years then and I still can remember the way your music made me dance happily like there were no worries in this life of existence. And Sir,that feel of no worries continues till date whenever my ipod playlist shuffles in ARR rhythm.

Music needs no language..Does it??  As Beethoven says"Good music can always leave a vibe within even if you are deaf".Right his saying was, your music is always a "stay live" boost for me.People ask me how I learned Hindi without opting it as an optional subject.I say to many that I learned by watching Hindi movies. But the truth I was motivated to learn Hindi just to understand the lyrics of "Dil Se" is not disclosed to any till date. This happened when I was 9 years old.

I never had a passion for carnatic and neither did I show any interest in BharataNatyam until I heard your songs in the movie 'Jeans'.As a matter of fact the songs "Kannodu Kaanbethellam" from 'Jeans' pictured the least resemblance of the classical dance moves.Yet I considered it to be BharathaNatyam and did went on to learn the basic steps.Luckily,in the later years of my teen the earlier practice helped me .

The year was 2005 and a cold winter night when I first saw a full stretch Hindi movie which was musically composed by you."Swades-We the people".Though the credit goes to Ashutosh Gowariker for his splendid script, the song "Ye Jo Des Hai Tera" took me to my knees. This song again had its epitome of impact on 2012 when you first raised the curtain of "Thai Manne Vanakkam Concert" in Chennai with the Tamil lyrics of this song.I just prostrated right infront of you.I think it was the craziness of your music beyond my limbic thinking.

The final surrender to your music came in the year of 2010.The movie "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya".
I have at times accoladed this movie to my real life incidents and the song which most of my friends knew will bring me to tears even today.I am not sure whether it happens by coincidence or by choice you give me the music of my life's need of the hour. This bondage has ever since my birth grown till date that I claim, my only best friend is your music because your creations and I never have had any misunderstanding and we are a perfect breath for a single inhale-exhale cycle.

When I mention about your role in my life Sir,I owe my success and all my achievements till date to the spirit that your music has imbibed within me.Sir,I can go on writing about your music but then I am more than just a disciple and hence it shall not end.

And most importantly you quote

"Your inner voice is the voice of divinity. To hear it, we need to be in solitude, even in crowded places."This keeps me still in the game of life with my head held high as my soul enjoys the blissful music of yours..

Happy Birthday Rahman sir....

Long live Rahman sir...I am of no age to bless but with a whole heart to wish and pray..
